Steinhatchee is actually well-known for its fishing opportunities – we’re full of incredible spots to fish in both the shallows and off-shore. There’s fantastic saltwater and freshwater fishing and a huge variety of fish and shellfish.
The Steinhatchee River, accessible from Coastal RV, is a great place for laid-back fishing. You can catch mackerel, trout, and red drum in the Steinhatchee.
Other great places to fish include the shallow flats, Dallas Creek, and Deadman’s Bay.
Visit one of the local fishing shops at the marina – we recommend Steinhatchee River Club! – to get up-to-date information about where to fish in Steinhatchee and where the current fishing hotspots are. You can also book a boat at Sea Hag Marina to head out for a fishing tour in Steinhatchee.
You can even organize a kayak fishing trip if you’re feeling up for an adventure.
