River Tubing

Fishing is another popular thing to do in Steinhatchee. We’re known for our incredible freshwater fishing thanks to the abundance of grouper, snapper, trout, and more in our natural reefs and flats. It’s a great day out for the whole family!

Scalloping

According to many, Steinhatchee is one of the best scalloping locations in the world. Head over to the marina or book a charter to sort out any necessities + licenses, then spend a day out collecting scallops from the shallow seabed.

Once you’re finished, shuck, cook, and enjoy! We suggest a big pat of garlic butter and some fresh-cooked pasta.

Hunting

Another of the best activities to do in Steinhatchee! The wildlife near our RV park is spectacular and there are some fantastic hunting opportunities. Head out to catch deer, wild turkey, wild hog, quail, and more. We’re one of the only campgrounds that permits hiking right on our property, so you won’t have to venture far for a great catch.

Steinhatchee Falls

One of our favorite activities in Steinhatchee is visiting Steinhatchee Falls. These relaxing natural falls are located in a beautiful wilderness hiking area, making a great day out. You might spot some local wildlife and you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the river, too!

Kayaking

Another of our favorites! Paddle, kayak, or canoe down the Steinhatchee River along the Steinhatchee River Paddling Trail. The water is generally calm and suitable for beginners. This is a great activity for the entire family when visiting Steinhatchee!

Horseback Riding

We’re proud to say we’re one of the few properties in Steinhatchee that allows horseback riding! This typically isn’t allowed on management land, so it’s a real perk of staying with us. One of our newest amenities is an on-site horse corral, making horseback riding here even easier and more accessible.

There are new owners who are redoing every thing. Beautiful walking trails and wildlife on the Steinhatchee River. 10 minutes to the Gulf of Mexico. Should be renovated completely for next years scallop season.

I can’t say enough praise for this wonderful place and most especially, the good lady who runs it. I’m beyond grateful to have been able to come here during a cold, rainy spell and been able to have a shelter for me, my tent and my dog.

For what it is it is nice. Definitely not a high end place and for RVs only it appears. Not really near much other than a gas station. A beach is 28 miles and the next town kind of thing is 10. There is a dinner across the street a allot of wilderness.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This campground is super quiet, the people that are there are so nice, it’s a small town basically, least by the campground. There’s a gas station right at the corner, which carries most essentials. Kids may not enjoy this place, simply because not alot of people are there, but if your looking for quiet.. this is it

A great place to camp, to check out a great town. Located is this old Florida fishing town . Drop off the camper and go explore the campground, and everything the town has to offer. Some great local dining, fishing, boating. Most places close on the early in this laid back little town though.
